In another post, I argued that videogames (like all expressive media) influence the world but that, cumulatively, their influence is more likely to be positive than negative because games can show us new.
The Intro: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 was a bit of a late bloomer. Not much happened in the first half of the game, and even in the latter half, the game only came into its own once there was more combat and less exploration.
One of the most important consoles in the history of home video games was the Genesis, released by Sega in North America in the summer of 1989. It was a 16-bit console that featured a library that eventually topped out at over 900 different games.
Infested Planet is strategy game from independent developer Rocket Bear Games which is available on steam.  Where you have the ability to take charge of 5 soldiers while taking on a barrage of enemies.  Infested Planet is not your typical destroy and shoot up everything in your path, but playing with stealth and strategy makes this fun.  Infested Planet reminds me of another great strategy game available thru steam in the Banner Saga.
