Question #1: Do my games need to include the box?

Answer: No, the consoles listed below we do not require the box, or manual.  The prices on the site are for the game cartridges only.

Game cartridges below, the prices on the site are for the cartridge only:

  • Nintendo NES
  • Super Nintendo
  • Sega Genesis | Sega Master System | Sega 32x
  • Nintendo 64
  • Nintendo Virtual Boy
  • Original GameBoy | Game Boy Color | Gameboy Advance
  • Atari 7800 | Atari Jaguar | Atari Lynx
  • NeoGeo Pocket

Second Part of the Question:

Answer: Cartridge Games Listed below, we do require the box and instructions.  Below show the deductions for games not including their respected case & game manual.

  • Nintendo DS
    • DS Games Received in Loose Condition (meaning game cartridge only) will lose 50% of the Quoted Value.
    • DS Games received with the case, but no manual, would lose (-30%) of the quote price for not having a manual.
  • Nintendo 3DS
    • 3DS Games Received in Loose Condition (meaning game cartridge only) will lose 50% of the Quoted Value.
    • 3ds Games received with the case, but no manual, would lose (-30%) of the quote price for not having a manual.
  • Nintendo Switch – We are aware many Nintendo Switch games do not include a manual.
    • Switch Games Received in Loose Condition (meaning game cartridge only) will lose 50% of the Quoted Value.
    • Switch Games received with the case, but no manual, would lose (-30%) of the quote price for not having a manual.
  • PlayStation Vita - It's understood most vita games do not include a printed manual.
    • PS Vita Games Received in Loose Condition (meaning game cartridge only) will lose 50% of the Quoted Value.
  • Turbografx 16 – Should include the original case & manual
    • Turbografx games Received in Loose Condition, "meaning game cartridge only" / will lose 35% of the Quoted Value.
    • Turbografx Games received with the case, but no manual, would lose (-30%) of the quote price for not having a manual.

Question #2: Can Cartridges have names written in marker on Them?

Answer: Yes, name or some numbers is fine & no deduction will occur

Second Answer: If a game is completely covered or someone colored the cartridge.  Then the game would get rejected.

Question #3: Can cartridges have small stickers on them?

Answer: Yes, if they don’t obstruct the game label. 

  • If a sticker makes the game label hard to see or unreadable, then the game would get rejected.
  • We do try and remove or clean up a label, as we are not in the business to reject items.
  • Please email us, with a photo, if you are in doubt.

Question #4: I have not tested my games in 20 years & don’t have a way to test the games.

Answer: We can get 90% of cartridge games to work, we do clean the contacts on a particular game before test the game.

Question #5: The game label is torn; will you still buy it?

Answer: No, if a game has a badly torn end label or front label will we reject the game.
