A Gamer's Roots

Brandon grew up during the golden age of gaming, playing on an Atari 7800 and a Nintendo NES. But it was the NES and those weekend rentals from the local video store that really won him over.

He soon became known for his competence with The Legend of Zelda and Metroid. He was even featured in Nintendo Power Magazine for finishing Super C, which was a big deal for retro gamers. Maybe he spent a little too much time playing games!

One defining memory? His Nintendo Power moment.

“When I was a kid, I had a subscription to Nintendo Power. One month, they put out a challenge—if you were one of the first gamers to send in a photo of the end credits from Super C, you'd get your name published.

My buddy Joe Ward and I played nonstop until we finally beat the game, snapped our photos, and mailed them in. A few months later, there it was—our names in Nintendo Power. That moment sealed it for me.”
Games weren't simply entertainment; they were community, competition, and culture.

From Crash to Cartridge

In 2008, Brandon's life changed when he was in a serious car accident. This accident ended his job as a Sous Chef at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago.

Unable to return to kitchen life, he followed his passion for retro gaming. This venture started as an eBay consignment gig and quickly evolved into a full-time business powered by fond memories and a deep love for cartridge-based consoles.
