For some reason, I don't get in a lot of original Xbox games. When I do, it's usually the mainstream stuff. Halo, Fable, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. This order was different. It had depth across both Xbox and PS2, and honestly, it was just a fun one to test.
The Table of Contents
Years ago, I picked up a limited edition green Halo Xbox console. Thought it was cool then. Still do. Any time a good Xbox order comes through, I have a reason to pull it out and put it to work.

Original Xbox Games we Bought
The games that caught my eye first were Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2. I was glad these never got the mainstream treatment that Star Wars Battlefront did. They're deep, story-driven games. Battlefront is great, but KOTOR is a different experience entirely.
The other series in this order I only learned about through this business is Otogi. Growing up, I was a big fan of samurai movies. Otogi isn't about samurai exactly; it's about dead warriors from ancient Japan, but
the setting pulled me in immediately. Add in the hack-and-slash gameplay, and it checks every box. That genre is great for stress relief. Just sit back and swing a sword.
The Lord of the Rings rounds out the Xbox side. I was a fan of the movies when they came out, and the games hold up. Easy to pick up, fun to play through.

PS2 Games we Bought
On the PS2 side, there are a bunch of big-name PS2 games, but the Onimusha games are another series I find myself going back to. Same idea as Otogi. Sit back, relax, hack through some demons. If you follow samurai cinema at all, this series is right up that alley.
Musashi Samurai Legend is an interesting title in this order. It has sword combat, which I like, but it plays more like a fantasy RPG than a straight hack and slash. If you're into Samurai Warriors or Dynasty Warriors, you might feel the same way. Still a cool game, just a different pace.

A Really Nice Mix of Old Games
That is a lot of games, and a good variety too. This is one of those orders that has a little something for everyone. First-person shooters, classic JRPGs, and plenty of hack and slash for when you need to decompress after a long day. Not every order comes in this well-rounded.
