Best place to buy old video games online?

The Old School Game Vault has been buying and selling retro games since 2008. Every game we sell is tested, photographed as-is, and backed by a 30-day warranty.

✓

Are your old video games tested before shipping?

Yes. Every game we sell is loaded, started, and tested through actual gameplay. Our testers must interact with the game rather than simply confirm that it reaches the title screen. For rare games, we also use different save files when available to check multiple parts of the game.

✓

Will I receive the exact game shown in the photos?

Yes. Every listing shows actual photos of the copy you’re buying. We don’t use stock photos, so you can see its condition and any pictured flaws before placing your order.

✓

What warranty comes with my purchase?

Every game we sell comes with a 30-day warranty. We focus on quality, thoroughly tested games so you can shop with confidence.

How do you describe the condition of used games?

Most of our old video games are listed in Very Good or Good condition. Like New is uncommon and reserved for copies we consider to be in mint condition. Games with label tears or other cosmetic flaws may fall into Good or Acceptable condition, depending on the extent of the wear.

We are especially selective about disc condition. We inspect discs under a specialized LED light that reveals the depth and detail of scratches. We do not buy or sell heavily scratched discs.

Any flaws are noted in the listing’s condition description, and we do our best to show them clearly in the photos.
